We watched a movie in class because, according to what the student who came in to announce the day's plan, my professor's mother had died.
My professor is almost sixty.
Forgive me if I'm bitter and uncaring.
I found it inappropriate that he told us in the first place that she was sick. I'm not sure what he was attempting, other than to make us sympathetic.
I'm really, really not.
We apparently have to write a one-page response to the movie. Funny. I don't recall making others waste time they don't have over Thanksgiving week when my mother died.
Oh, right. I'm just a lowly student who ended up behind a week in classes and getting a "W" on her transcript. I didn't have a free pass.
I honestly do not give a shit. He had forty more years than I did, and I actually find it rude and pathetic that he told us since it was as an excuse for missing some classes.
Fuck the educational heirarchy.
